Serena right Kenya PSS
We see hope in Serena.

Serena (right) is 14 and started crying when we asked her why the local kids club in Nakuru, Kenya, was important. She was four when she first came to the club. Her parents had died of AIDS and her relatives wouldn’t take her in: they said she was “already dead”. Eventually the club persuaded her granny to look after her. Serena has now been tested and does not have HIV.

Serena helps with the skills training and games at the club, especially the singing. She says the small children feel lonely, but the club helps them feel happy and safe. Now when her granny asks Serena what her dream is, she says she wants to be a doctor.
